Wow.
My extended family are definitely the Waspy-est Jews around! Too long in New England. They wouldn't even sing and barely danced at my kids' Bar Mitzvahs.
But, the 4 of us did a snappy dance and singing rendition to "Born to Be Wild" at DS #2's Bar Mitzvah. That song is our family motto, and little did we know how prophetic it would become for all of us. A year later, he was racing, and we were all on our way to becoming a cycling family.
