Beautiful foliage in KC this fall!

I had no idea how gorgeous the foliage here in the KC area would be, and apparently this is a banner year, according to the local newscasters. Yesterday we did a road ride, and I made DH stop several times so we could take photos. This beauty makes getting bundled up and going out on a ride totally worth it! Actually, it hasn't been bad -- mid-50s most days with some near 60. Here are the best photos:

Beautiful foliage in KC this fall!

So beautiful. I love fall bike riding. All the nice crunchy, colorful leaves. :-)

Nice! The weather there seems to be about 3-4 weeks behind us. We're about to get our first major winter snowfall in Saskatoon.

Awesome pictures, Emily. We have also had a nice foliage season, which seemed to last longer than usual. Of ocurse, when I decided to take pictures, I was in places that seemed to have only pine trees and brown leaves! But, we still have color here, even after a big rain and wind on Friday.

    Looks like really intense colors!
Thinking of fall foliage always makes me want to be back in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec.

    Thumbs up faLL colors

having ended up in Teas after having lived in Massachusetts for over 10 years, I really find myself missing the gorgeous colors. Thank you for a moment of lovely nostalgic memory.

I missed them too, Marni! We were in Belize the last two autumns, and even before that, North Carolina piedmont (central part of the state) fall foliage is just not as bright as what we're getting here in KC.

I just posted a few more foliage photos from our ride yesterday in the "November Rides" thread if anyone isn't tired of foliage photos yet!

Ah lovely colours there. Where I am now, we can only dream. Our leaves all fell about 2 wks. ago. It's snow and ice, etc.
