    Yesterday:

    B. Frittata, coffee
    S: triple mocha brevet with 1/2 of a grain-free strawberry/zucchini muffin
    L: salad with roast chicken, veggies, drizzle of avocado oil for dressing
    spent some time at the gym working on kettlebell technique, also did some deadlifting before heading to the trails for a 30 minute trail run
    S: Quest protein bar (grain/soy free)
    D: sausage/kale soup with more roast chicken - VERY tasty on a cool fall evening!

    In the end I don't think I ate enough - I think most of my calories was from the mocha For some reason I am being really tempted by mocha and pumpkin lattes right now. I KNOW what is in them, there are only 2 independent coffee houses from which I will get them but still...I also note that I am starting to crave sugar again and I don't think that a coincidence. Time to shut down the sugar train!

    B: 2 eggs, scrambled with kale, salsa, 1/4 avocado, bowl of strawberries, coffee
    S: handful of walnuts
    L: cup of left over chicken/kale/quinoa soup, an apple
    22.5 mile ride, slow, but with some sprints, where I went ahead of my friend. I ate some nuts, cranberries, chocolate bits during the ride, one water bottle
    D: noodle free lasagna, with zucchini, ground beef, tomato sauce, green pepper, side of pineapple chunks, glass of red wine

    B: breakfast sandwich on a spelt whole wheat roll, with one egg, 2 slices of bacon, bowl of strawberries and pineapple, coffee
    S: handful of walnuts
    L: home made chicken salad with mayo, almonds, cranberries, on lettuce, with fig vinegar, cup of tomato soup
    3.5 mile hike
    S: 2 whole wheat pita crackers, glass of red wine
    D: Czech meatballs with cauliflower "mashed potatoes," salad, 2 squares dark chocolate

    Yesterday:

    B: last of the chorizo frittata, 1 slice fresh side, coffee
    1 hour hard conditioning group training session followed by protein shake
    L: homemade "egg drop soup" made with bone broth, pork, veggies - only calling it egg drop soup because I dropped a beat egg into the soup
    S: small scoop pumpkin ice cream
    D: 1/3 baked/stuffed pumpkin (very small squash), over mixed salad greens, 1 beer.

    This is the first time I've worked with an actual pumpkin - treated it just like I do other squash. It was interesting, I found it less sweet than butternut or acorn squash. It worked well in my savory recipe however.

    S: very small piece of chocolate cake

    1/2 a Lara Bar before boot camp
    B: egg whites, corn tortilla, green chili, 1/4 avocado and an orange, coffee
    L: garden salad with a scoop of chicken salad, and a few croutons (I thought I'd be at home for lunch, but ended up at the office, so I had to buy
    S: the rest of the Lara bar from this morning.
    D: glass of red wine, one bone in chicken breast grilled with lemon/garlic under the skin, roasted Brussel sprouts, 2 squares dark chocolate

    Oh great. Now I want a pumpkin spice latte. It's too hot, but I still want one.

    B: Tea with milk and sugar. I realized I am pretty much out of everything, so I went grocery shopping...at Trader Joe's. Oops.
    L: Sesame beef, brown rice with a generous sprinkling of this stuff, cooked peppers, and cubed daikon radish with a bit of soy sauce.
    D: Probably leftover pork that DBF's parents sent me home with, mashed sweet potatoes and salad (if it's not too funky). If it is, broccoli or kale.

    Edit: Broccoli. The salad had somehow gotten shoved to the back of the fridge and then frozen. And there will be birthday cake and a glass of chocolate milk with Kahlua in it.
