Thanks for the welcome, both of you!
you can post it anyway hun - we all wander all over all the forums, we'll find you!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

    Updated "getting to know you"!

    Real Name: Melinda

Location: Depends. I"ve lived in 57 places in my 62 years. Most recently - Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington State, Denver Co, but also NC, SC, MD, Dist of Columbia, FLA, VA, MI, ALA, GA, and Scotland, UK. Longest place I ever lived was in Wa state; now we are in UT until we start RVing full time in 08'... and NO, the cops are not looking for me!

Explanation of Avatar: ..... Well, now I know what one is..... and uploaded this close-up photo from ones I had on a Brazilian commercial website for which I wrote advertorial promos and supplied product photos; www.skylinedelivers.com It's a site run for families and friends of missionaries in the 27 different mission areas in Brazil, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (we be the "Mormons" )

Photos of my ride and me: See lots of photos of me, DH and more (I am a photography nut ) at:
    http://losing-half-of-myself.blogspot.com/

My ride: Returned the cruiser and got an 18-spd Mtn bike, blue. Found that my lardy butt was too heavy to pedal without cheatin' gears.

    other stuff:
still the same, except I may have a little time off from riding my new cheapie bike. Mammogram this week showed "aliens" in both boobies so I may be getting surgery and then, if I am lucky later on, breast reconstruction with great honkers! But after I heal, I'm back in the saddle again...(sounds of western music playing...)
There's nothing to stop traffic like a fat lady on a bike with a flourescent flag...

Fixedgear, I grew up in Montrose, which isn't really rural itself, but we lived about 30 miles outside of town. At the time, that area was very rural. One way I entertained myself(since there were no kids to play with) was by riding my bike all over the place.

I actually just moved back to Colorado a year ago after being away since Jr. High. I can't wait to get to the Crested Butte area!
