I still bubbly inside when I think about riding in CB.

We have a second monitor for our computer that cycles through some of our favorite pictures. This one

always made me a little sad. It's from 2006. In 2007, I fell down a cliff on this same trail. I figured I would never ride this trail or anything like ever again.

Since I've found my mojo, my new bike is an Ibis Mojo SLR. It should be here in a week or so.

Yippee! Can't wait to see pics of the new ride - in action, of course!

NICE!!!! I love your "go big or go home" attitude. Crested Butte, at least to a flatlander and scaredy cat like me, is a pretty ambitious place to choose to ride after a bad experience on the trail. You not only chose it, but conquered your fears there as well. That is tremendously cool.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

    Thanks!

I have to give huge kudos to the two guides/instructors that we had. They knew from the start that I had issues with exposure and the trails they picked each day just gradually increased it. It was really cool to have one of them riding behind me on the gnarly stuff and giving me compliments on my technique - very confidence building.

Congratulations Veronica, it sounds like you had a great deal of fun While I was far less advanced than you when still mountain biking, exposure was certainly the bane of my existence for a time. It took a very patient friend riding behind me reminding me to just look straight ahead and reminding me that my bike didn't care about how wide the trail was. That really helped and made it much, much easier to deal with exposure afterwards,

Are you climbing the walls with anticipation? I would be!

    Definitely!

Although I did clean and do some maintenance on my hardtail Stumpjumper, so I can ride it until the new bike comes.
