You're right AppleTree - that stuff sticks! The first time I used it, it ended up all over both hands. I have since learned to just apply with only ONE finger! I've had no problem with it washing out of the chamois. My shorts are washed on delicate, cold, some kind of free and clear detergent, and hung to dry.
