    Question re: Favorite Shorts

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I have a favorite pair of shorts by Sugoi that are currently on closeout at REI and it looks like they have been discontinued. How many would you buy if you were me? I was thinking 2 but will I regret not getting more later? My current pair are threadbare in a few places from so much wear and use.

    What to do....

If you love 'em, buy as many as you can afford. I have a pair of Terry's that I bought on clearance and now wish I had more of. Same with discontinued nail polish.

Buy them all! Or at least 3 years worth. (seems like every time I have a favorite that gets discontinued it takes me at least that long to find something else that works.)

I'd buy two or three at least. (But I've never worn out shorts, either.) Seems like whatever "improvements" they make on anything, shorts, shoes, whatever, it isn't as nice as what you liked in the first place.

    Thanks Gals!

I went ahead and bought 3 new pair. Can't wait till they arrive and I can stop washing my current pair everynight. Luckily since they are tri shorts they hang dry overnight really well.

Every time I've restrained myself with stuff like that I've regretted it. I only bought 3 "performance century" saddles when they were $9.99 three or four years ago. Now they're gone... and I've used up all three saddles. I guess for a saddle that cheap, 7 or 8 thousand miles is all I should expect... but I'm afraid to try others. (I got them because they *looked* like my original that I liked. Medium softness, medium size, just hit me right.) Same with tires...
