Nearly embarrassed by new, lovely cycling jersey

I was at an info. table today promoting the Grand Fondo Rockies bike ride this summer. After chatting for 5 min., etc. and somehow I revealed I had 4 bikes (we were all at an annual Bike Swap), I was given a free Grand Fondo Rockies jersey my size.

Needless to say I was flabbergasted, but they simply want it worn to promote the ride.

Ok, am I going on the ride? I wasn't planning....to me for 1 day ride, a $100.00 registration fee is expensive. (but includes jersey, food stops, post ride dinner.) It's not for charity, Grand Fondo rides are run by a private company.

I think we would have to rent a car to get our bikes out or ride at least 80 km. to get to start point... Dearie is planning to ride solo around the time of ride, from Vancouver over the Cascades, Monashee and Rockies mountain ranges (there are 3 mountain ranges to cross over) into Alberta to meet me.

Anyway, it's a lovely jersey ..even if the sleeve cuffs are snug. And I'm slim in the arms! I'll wear it.

**Over 4,000 people show up at this annual Bike swap of used bikes that one can buy. Over 2,000 used bikes are sold. I've never seen anything quite like it on this scale. I'm not aware of Vancouver having this sort of thing on a massive scale. One woman I knew wanted to get a bike for her young teenage son who got his bike stolen (from his school).
