    Rock on school nurse sister! I'd say do the 50 because shorter is where the heavy traffic is & you're more likely to get into trouble. I think you'll get more enjoyment from pushing yourself a bit & experiencing the thinning out process. My other words of advice would be to not completely clip in for the first couple of miles just in case & to skip the first rest stop if you can.

    I did it, completing the 50 mile ride. The wind was challenging but Wichita area is not as hilly as my home town area so it was okay. I didn't fall over, make other riders crash or any other feared catastrophes. It was a lot of fun. I am sure I will do it again.

    Oh, forgot to say this. I did the 50 because of the encouragement here. I skipped the first rest stop but make all the rest. I fell in love all over again with my road bike; love those skinny tires. I'm not speedy but I got 'er done.
