I kept all of my cycling gear when I took a break from riding and when I broke that stuff out, it was like Christmas all over again! I was able to wear some of the shorts and bibs and now I can wear all of it. I still like the stuff I bought last year, but I won't be buying a lot of new stuff now that the "old" stuff fits again. Next year... can't guarantee that I won't do some sGood cycling jerseys can last a really long time. Shorts not so much, but with proper care... yep, I can believe 15 years and counting for a jersey. And good for you that you haven't changed sizes in those years. I can't say the same for myself (but I wasn't riding those years I was heavier). I only wear long-sleeved and short-sleeved. No sleeveless and I'm not sure why.
Kiwi - that sounds very painful. What a horrible experience. It must have taken a while to recover. Yikes!
