So far so good. The first ride went fine. But the next day I was having some issues getting clipped in. The harder I tried, the more difficult it became.
Then I went for a ride on Sat. It was only 12 miles, and I didn't really have any trouble clicking in, but I almost tipped over twice.
The first time I was preparing to turn around at a bridge. I slowed down, the shoulder was wide enough to begin a turn, I knew there was one car. I was going to wait slowly and try not to have to stop, but there was a second car right behind the first. I panicked, worked on stopping so I wouldn't proceed into traffic, I did manage to get my left foot out in time and my bike tipped and the momentum carried it down anyway. I got my right foot out too, so I just ended up setting the bike down. It was kind of embarrassing.
Then I was pulling up to my house, I probably waited too long to unclip my left foot. But, momentum carried me to the right. I thought that was going to be a problem. I was able to set my left foot down and my right popped out. Set the bike down then too. :|
So, I've decided that it's probably best for me to unclip everytime I arrive at a stop sign and times when I make direction changes and unclip well before I actually come to a complete stop at destinations, etc.
Oh, I told my mom and boyfriend about these instances... Probably not excellent ideas.I was wearing a helmet. I'm sure I'll probably fall over sometime.
Hills make me a little nervous going down. Uneven sections of road make me nervous too sometimes. I'm trying to avoid loose rock, etc... it's nearly impossible sometimes.
No, I don't have any photos yet. Sorry!
