Do those medium LGs fit smaller or larger than other brands? Also, are these the long ones or the shorter version? I may be interested...

They fit smaller. I am not particularly hippy (
) but have birthed children and am older, so I was surprised by how more compressed they felt through the waist and hips. I tried them for several rides this winter and kept thinking I'd get used to them, but never did. May be because I'm not used the waist, which is different from the other brands I prefer. But they do fit smaller than say, PI or Sugoi, IMO
