Snow

Slush can often be tricky to ride as well. We went out on the local trails last night ahead of the Nor'Easter we're having now (that is dumping about a foot of snow). Figured that the rain and above freezing temps would have melted most of the snow, but alas, lots of snow still in the woods, and with the temps, it was corn snow and made the going VERY difficult (there may have been some swearing, and the SS MTB may not have been the right choice of bike).

You could ride snow here to your heart's content today!

It wasn't that bad, really. The trail is quite exposed in places, so it really was like riding through a Icee, only less blue and not quite so sticky. My tires work surprisingly well for slush, though there were a few places that I thought might be icy. If I were to stay in Ohio, I'd probably want studded tires for this sort of thing, but it might be irrelevant.

I love my cross bike.
