I used to go to Belgium a couple of times a year for my work (this was many years ago).
I would come home positively laden with Belgian chocolate.
Ah, those were the days.

I once had a Belgian choclocate eater egg - so smooth and creamy...mmmmmm.
I love my cadbury eggs - I just returned from a trip to Aus, and managed to bring back seven (yes seven!) kilos of chocolates(no not all for me - I have orders to fill!)
Hey gals,
The supermarkets in Australia are full of Easter Eggs at the moment. And a lot of them are Cadburys!![]()
I like Lindt (we have a Lindt cafe in Sydney), and Dove and Cadburys. But I have to say my favorite choccies in the world are Mrs Sees. I get them when my aunty in the US comes to visit. They are sooooo scrumptious. Not the worlds most exciting packaging, but the choccies are yummmmy.![]()
Cadburys Creme eggs are an institution in the UK. I grew up eating them at easter as did everyone I know (we are all convinced they have gotten smaller since we were kids although Cadburys denies this!). I have been eating them as my chocolate treat at the minute as they are "only" 174 calories. They are so sweet that it satisfies my craving.
We used to challenge each other as kids to eat as many of them as you could as fast as you could, I think I managed three once, felt sick for hours!
As far as good chocolate goes my favourite is Green and Blacks Maya Gold (or anything by Green and Black), dark chocolate with orange and spice through it - organic and fairtrade as well. Our works canteen has just started selling small bars of it which I struggle to resist!
Green And Black's They have it at ralphs. It's organic and really good!Originally Posted by Veronica

I'm thinking of buying the Green and Blacks Chocolate recipe book a they have a recipe in it for Chocolate and Vodka Chillies - how dangerous does that sound!
Just need to get my chilli plants to grow now
In MD (where I grew up) they sell Mary Sue easter eggs. They are huge. Dark chocolate shell filled with vanilla butter cream. It's a good good thing. My mom sends me one every year.![]()
Oh i like chocolate and chili!Originally Posted by tattiefritter

Haha, I think the same thing every time I go to the store here almost lol! It seems like every other shopping trip I can't find some item I always took for granted everywhere else I've lived (this week it was the alfredo sauce in the cream coloured packets, I stocked up when they went on sale before I moved and finally ran outOriginally Posted by fishdr
) The worst of it is that not only is the selection limited, the food is spendy out here! Thank goodness for the canned foods store (Grocery Outlet), since they always have cheap lovely cheeses. They even had Ben and Jerry's for 75 cents a few months ago....oh that was heaven!
roughingit - yup - we had a store that sold ghiradelli double chocolate chips which beat the pants off of hersheys. When they were going out of business, I bought something like a dozen bags (everything they had). It was a sad day when I ran out of them. The other store sells their bar baking chocolate which I use for making candies, but not the double chocolate. At least food is fairly cheap here. I guess the grass is always greener... You have better scenery, though

Brandi, I think we were separated at birthCadburry creme eggs are my FAVORITE Easter candy. Can't have Easter without an egg. Of course, I can't have an egg in the house and not eat it
It just wouldn't be right....
Alright, off to do my taxes so I can ride my bike. My new Terry is here!

Since Cadbury in the US is made by Hersheys, is it different? And bring back the bunny that made duck noises!
