I did about 30 minutes for the same reason. Plus I ran out of plowed path:

Ahh, gosh, I envy you. Today is the perfect day for bicycling -- nice breeze, sheet clouds, not too cold nor too hot... Glad the both of you had fun! Fredwina, I'd not have braved an unplowed path either... yowza!

It's warm enough (has been for quite a few days), but drizzling, with quite intense fog, from all of the snow melt. Hoping to get outside tomorrow, and I don't care how short of a ride it is. I haven't been on my Guru since mid November as I kept saying, "this will be the last ride on the Kuota, it's going on the trainer." Well, I had 5-6 "last rides," through the first week of December. I did my yoga-spin dvd today (hard, hard, hard), so whatever happens outside tomorrow will just be FUN.

It was warm here too...about 55 at its warmest. Our trails haven't been rideable for some time because it's been so warm and there's been no real freeze, even at night, so we hit the road instead. ~33 miles at speeds that I'm normally accustomed to riding at the end of the season, not the off-season! I feel good

So Last weekend I went to The Polar Bear Pedal II ride (10 miles recreational ride downtown Indy) with my boys, nephew and a couple of friends. It was in the low 20 degrees if I am not mistaken.

Today like many other bicycling lovers, we took advantage of the weather and in the afternoon. Went downtown with the family and rode around the city for a little over 2 hours at a leisure pace of course.

I also did my Saturday indoor ride this morning for 1:30 hours

BTW I got a road bike for my youngest son a 21 speed triple crank Giant Kronos Aluminum with downtube shifters. It was coverted into a Hybrid but the previous owner provided me with the drop bar and brake levers . So they will get install as soon as possible. Here are some pics of both rides.

Did our usual Sunday morning loop on the bumpy unpaved road north of us, around 12 miles total. There was a stiff easterly breeze at about 15-20 mph. Lovely when we were heading west towards the lagoon, but felt like climbing up a long, long mountain on the way back east towards the sea. Lots of out of the saddle peddling required on the single-speed cruiser bike. Exhausting but an excellent workout and way to start the day! Temp in upper 70s, humid.

    I wimped out.
It's warm enough, but damp, roads are wet still, and very cloudy. I wish it were 45 degrees and sunny. I can't seem to get my motivation up for getting dressed for a coolish, damp ride.
Lots of ill mannered cyclists out when I went to the grocery store this morning. One guy went around the left side of my car while I was stopping at the stop sign at Strawberry Hill and Pope Rd. . There were also 4-5 cyclists pulling up on my right, and I wasn't sure what any of them were going to do. The guy on the left sort of went straight across the intersection on the wrong side of the road, but pulled up on the corner, instead of making a left properly. I guess people are crazed by being able to ride outside in January, but still.
