Sigh, I guess I am the only living woman left who still wears a slip. Actually, what I wear is what my mom used to call "petti-pants," (i.e. petite pants), a short slip like pair of shorts, over my tights. I have mostly lined skirts, but i have a few wool or plushy type dresses that I have to have a slip for. I don't have wool tights, just regular ones, though. I might look at the site, Eden.
I am one of the few people where I work that wears skirts or dresses. I am also the oldest. I don't wear them everyday, but I have to have a difference between my work and play clothes. I find it hard to wear jeans, even to do in home therapy. Black jeans, OK, blue, not so much.

    Deleting almost everything.

Yeah, I'm feeling cranky this morning. I've heard too many responses this week that begin with a negative, implied or otherwise.

Oh no, I hope the fact that I still wear a slip didn't set you off.
You can feel happy that Eden's comment on this thread induced me to do some retail therapy. I bought 3 pairs of the merino tights, a pair of the flat ones in grey (yes, they were sold out of the black in small) and 2 pairs of the tonal patterned ones.

No, it didn't. It was the initial (negative) implication that if one doesn't wear a slip, we're somehow lacking. I wear slips when appropriate. I don't really care if or when someone wears a slip as long as I'm not privy to their privates. Under a knit skirt like the one in the link, a slip or pettipants would look like h3ll. BTW, pettipants are still readily available.

Yea, I know... I bought one about 4 years ago. Almost time for a new one.
You know, to me, a slip is just the thing that keeps my skirt or dress from sticking to my tights. I never thought of one as a "privacy" shield! I've tried using hairspray to solve the problem, but got tired of sticky thighs. I could care less if someone wears a slip; in fact, I am sure most of my colleagues don't know what one is.
If we could invent something that stopped the stickiness problem, we'd be millionaires.
