    Thanksgiving Friday Fun

    Santa came!

New bikes for my daughter and her boyfriend! A new kitty!
A visit from my niece! Turkey soup. Visit with mom yesterday was only slightly kookie.

So relieved and happy that it feels like I will be coasting downhill with a tailwind clear through to the new year!

No pics means it didn't happen

Sounds like you had a great time - congratulations on new bikes, kitty, and a nice visit with your mom!

Someday I will work on remembering how to post pictures...probably not today though.
I will excuse myself by saying the bikes are right now exactly stock bikes, Diamondback something (flat bar/road bike) on sale at Performance Bike. I do feel a little bad for not patronizing my LBS, but the bikes were perfect for the kids, and such a deal!

The kitty never holds still except to sleep, and has red goopy eyes. We think maybe his foster sprayed him with perfume or some stinky shampoo. We didn't know it before we were already smitten, but his medical history indicates that he has had extensive urinary tract surgery. Poor baby! He had some inflammation which led him to be circumcised and then 'marsupialized' which as far as I can tell, means not that he was turned into a kangaroo (although he hops around like all kittens do), but that they fashioned an opening for his urinary tract out of a pouch of skin. He also has a couple digits that are malformed.

Cat 2, Frankie has been happy to have him from the start. Frankie looks at us like "Wow! why didn't you get me one of these a long time ago!"
Cat 1, Txukka has today stopped hissing and is calming down, but still doesn't seem convinced that the new cat is an improvement.

The new cat is sort of named Pinky, but that sounds a lot like Frankie, so not 100% sold on that name. He's also a bit of a devil, so all the devil names are in play: Beels, Bub, Luci, Shaitan, Diabolo, Faen, Divvel...
