My daughter, who lives in Austin ( home of the motto "keep Austin weird") got married this weekend. The venue was under the trees in front of her favorite local brew pub with a followup of beer and celebration in the beer garden after. I got to play mother of the bride and fix her hair for her, but other then that, she and her sweetie did everything else. She has a group of about a dozen very close friends, who were there, and the officiator was a good friend. Her dress was a lovely sheer white with lace straps and cap sleeves, the groom Dan wore a black suit, shirt and t shirt. The best man/maid of honor was also a very close friend and work partner of marie, also wore black, with a fedora and flowers in his waist length braid.
The neatest thing about it was that it was exactly what my daughter wanted and she was so happy.
the next neat thing about it (for me anyway) was that halfway through the ceremony, a group about 10 bikers pulled in at what was obviously the end of a ride. While passing behind us in the parking lot, they dismounted, stopped, listened respectfully to the vows, and then when everyone else applauded they joined in. Later they bought the wedding party a brew. It was a lovely lovely day.

What a wonderful celebration!
Sweet! Best wishes to the newlyweds!
(but we need a picture that shows her feet! Otherwise the thread title is just a tease!)
Each day is a gift, that's why it is called the present.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
