Indeed, but it is still pretty much a male dominated sport - especially mountain biking. That IS, however, slowly changing and hopefully it won't be too long before women have just as many choices

I just stopped at a bike shop yesterday and learned that Mavic has horrible customer service. A shame as their shoes seem really good.

For those that are wearing the Mavics, do you have a wide or a narrow foot?

I wear and love my Mavic road shoes, and have an average foot width.

How are the heels on the Mavic women's shoes? We have Mavic shoes at work, but only the men's version. I tried the road shoes on (that's what I was looking for) and was very disappointed that they didn't fit in the heel because they felt so wonderful everywhere else.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

These seem to fit quite well for me in the heel, and I have had some issues with heel slippage in the past. (If that's what you mean.) They are comfortably wide enough in the toebox without being too wide, and snug enough in the heel. I had always worn Shimano shoes in the past as they seemed to fit me best, and the Mavic's fit considerably better for me.

And agreed on the length. I wear a 40 (US size 8) in the Mavic's, a 8.5 sneaker (Nike) and wore 41's in my Shimano road shoes, although a 40 in my Shimano MTB shoes.

One of the reviews I read complained about the heel coming out of the shoe. Perhaps this is a design flaw.
