We have one, also on a platform bed. We have the Temperpedic branded one. I find it very comfortable. However, I find that it does not dissipate heat well and thus can be hot at night. This was more of a problem as I was going into menopause and less of a problem now.
Another of our places has a latex mattress. I like that one the best.
