If it's a major carrier (fed ex, ups), they should return it to sender. I don't think you're responsible for re-shipping to them, and I wouldn't auction. Just return it to the carrier and let them deal with it.
As far as the bad address, they might have had it saved in an address book somewhere and just not looked at it.

Thanks for the info though. I think it was UPS - I will give them a call tomorrow.
