I had a full-on fracture. Took about 8 weeks to heal, but I kept weight off of it the whole time. Then I taped it for added support for a couple more months. Depending on where you're having problems, some parts of that metatarsal don't have a very good blood supply and can take remarkably long to heal. Good luck.
