    Real Name: Lisa
    Where do you live: Dallas
Explanation of your handle: My ride, a Specialized Amira
Age (general or specific: 55 (or, as I like to think of it, fifty fine)
    Occupation: Lawyer
Favorite bike: My current one, a Specialized Amira
What's in your stable: Just one. My LeMond Alpe d'Huez was stolen last November. Am contemplating adding a commuter bike for running errands next.
Fastest speed on a bike: About 35 mph. See most memorable moment on my bike, below. Going downhill at Tahoe is hard to beat. Only doing 35 because I was braking the entire way down.
What is the biggest lie you've ever told: This? New? Nooo, it's been in my closet forever.
Most memorable moment on my bike: I just got back a week ago from the JDRF Ride to Cure (Type 1 Diabetes) in Lake Tahoe. The entire weekend surrounding the ride, which my sister and I did in memory of our brother who passed away a year ago (in Tahoe) of complications from diabetes, was absolutely life changing in every way. I truly felt my brother's presence as I was climbing those hills. I committed to do the ride in the fall of 2011...middle aged, overweight, out of shape and having not ridden a bike in years. In training for that ride, which had such special significance, I changed my life - went from desk jockey to full on adult onset athletics, lost 35 lbs and am fitter than I've been since I was 20-something and my sister and I bonded in new ways.
Most fun ever on a bike: See most memorable. I don't know that I can wait until next year to go back ... now thinking of signing up for the Tucson JDRF ride in November.

Picture of my sister and I at the finish line, Lake Tahoe, September 9, 2012 - hmmm, going to have to figure out how to correctly size pictures on this forum......
