That sounds like a good idea for both of you. I didn't own a cell until 2006--when I started cycling. It used to be a point of pride that I didn't own one, but that attitude did me little good in an emergency. I still rarely talk on it. I have an iPhone that I use all the time, but for things other than the phone.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
