The rescue Great Pyrenees is back at his foster home and my partner decided she wanted to train a therapy dog. And since we are getting up in ages and she thought this may well be her last dog so she wanted a puppy and not a rescue. Rescues make a great pet but asking them to work is sometimes too much with all the emotional trauma they may have suffered. That was the case with the Pyrenees I tried to adopt. Poor boy had some serious issues and would never have made a safe therapy dog.
So this is Flynn, a golden retriever. We hope to train him to be a therapy dog so we can visit kids in hospital, to make the kids stay in hospital bit more bearable. (Delta Society had changed its name so we need to find out what it is called today)
just under 12 weeks old.
