Yep. year round here and worse than cars in my book. My theory; they see us and think "toy". Shouldn't jay walk in the first place (we'd never do that, right?) But they go right smack splat dab into us because they don't make that time/space/speed judgement they might with a car.
Bikeless DH got smooshed on his commute, he's going downhill, car's uphill and takes a left into him. (broke his arm very badly, he's back on a bike now). That's a car again but the driver saw him, missjudged the speed.
