Over on the perthmtb board we just had a visitor from the UK that wants to do the canning stock route and looking for advice.

Most of the responses were "WHY"???? There were some logical warnings as well-it takes 2yrs for a 4WD to prepare for it. Also 1500km of corrugated road doesn't sound too nice does it...

'However, someone has suggested he do the Gunbarrel Challenge-($2900 to enter) from laverton (Western aust) to Uluru(ayers rock)....fully supported...

Anyone up to the Gunbarrel??? I wouldn't last in the heat....
