Trek Lush S

This bike caught my eye! Anyone have one and could share what they love/would change?

I do not have one, but it's beautiful. One the Trek Women page I saw a video of someone talking about their lush and riding it.

I don't have one either, but it certainly looks like a nice bike. What kind of trails do you generally ride? Go test one out at your LBS or see if you can find a Trek demo in your area.

That Trek Lush looks like a great design. I really liked what I read about it in the article that Indysteel linked to.

It found the comments section comical where several people were trashing the choice of name. I personally think that "Lush" is a great name. Don't we all want to ride a "lush" bike, especially over mountain trails?!

My husband and I did an upgrade on our bike in June , I bought the
Trek Lush SL (he got the Trek Fuel EX 8).
I have 629 mile's of mostly single track trails on mine and we rode about 110 miles of trail in 6 days in Stanley Idaho. The bike's were great ,we both love them.
The fit they did at the bike shop in Boise Idaho was great. (George's on Fairview)
The Trek Lush SL is my fourth bike in about 3 1/2 years and I finally nailed it.

They did such a good job that we went back and bought 2 road bike's so we could get in more riding.
Both Trek Madone 3.1 ,once again the help and fit was great.

I'm glad to hear that George's did such a good job! I'm going to try the Superfly demo this weekend. It's a 29er.

I also joined the local women's mountain biking group, although I can't keep up with them (yet). I'm going to try to assemble a beginner group.

I ended up with the Trek Superfly 100 AL Elite. I'm going to try riding with the women's group again tomorrow, but am pursuing the assembly of a beginner group. I lined up a coach for us already

Riding with a club is a great idea if you don't have anyone to ride with and learn from.

Ride4fun, you are so right! I LOVE it! I went out with the group today and we split into two groups. I went with a couple to try some milder trails. She was trying out clipless peddles so we weren't going to do anything crazy. I had an incredibly good time and can't wait to go again. The bike was a dream to ride, especially compared to my 25 yo Hard Rock

We rode about 3 hours and when everyone met back at the parking lot I picked up some helpful info on other places to ride, and met some other people. More than one old timer suggested I try a 20 tooth small ring for lower gearing on hills--the one thing I have trouble with.

(One of our sons is co-owner of George's, and another one works for Trek.)
