Men's jerseys fit horribly on me. I'm curvy too, so to get them to fit my hips and chest, the waist is very, very loose and floppy. But, you could get Irulan to alter it for you!

I saw a really cool Pearl Izumi limited edition jersey this week--I would love to have it, but alas it is a men's jersey. I'm short and curvy (5'2" and about 150 lbs); this woman was probably 5'9", with more of a slender, straight frame. Have any of you petite women ever worn a man's sized jersey? It's obviously not from TE, so I want to be careful before I order. Thanks for any help or opinions.

For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
Men's jerseys are always too loose on my shoulders (becuase I get the size to fit my bust) and swim around my waist. Think straight up and down for men's.
I could never wear a men's jersey. It wouldn't fit anywhere... I can't even wear a woman's jersey, if it's not an extra small. Theoretically, by sizing charts, I should wear a small, but they all swim on me. More vanity sizing, even in the cycling wear industry.

Sorry for venting but I have to get this out. Even in women's jerseys I typically have to go larger than I need because I have boobs. If it fits my boobs then it is too big elsewhere - generally. My last couple of purchases do fit me better, but they are still too tight across the boobs and I hate that. This doesn't help the nipple problem, which shouldn't bother me but it does and mine would pierce armor - just can't get them to lay down even with multiple layers. Of course a man's jersey isn't any better for different reasons - but I would expect something made/designed for a woman would assume that she might have boobs!

I just bought a ragbrai primal men jersey. I think the men sizing is straight up and down + longer in length.
I have removed the elastic at the bottom, trimmed and rehemmed men's jerseys, which does help some of the fit issues for a short woman, but won't do much at all if you're tall.

Twin Six is the only brand I have found that really seems to understand that a LOT of women have the classic hourglass figure and can't wear men's jerseys at all...or "shrink it and pink it" jerseys that are labeled "women's" cut, but aren't at all structured for boobs, hips, small shoulders, or defined waist (I'm looking at you, Sugoi!).

Bezi Bra Discs turn off the headlights. I've never worn them while exercising but have worn them on enough hot humid summer days to expect them to be comfortable any time.
Can't help with the jersey problem, I have the opposite problem of jerseys having too much room up top for my itty-bitties.

Thanks girls. Although I really love this jersey, I think to even think about having it altered would ruin the print. Sigh ...
