    New to me Bike Friday

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I found a 1995 BF Metro and I really like the ride. I will upgrade some of the components as time goes by. I think its going to be a good bike to do whatever I dream up. I have named her Chigger.

Congratulations! I hate chiggers, but it's a cute name, and maybe she'll only make you itchy to ride more.

I'm a bit partial to Bike Fridays myself too...

    ENJOY!

    Mine is!

Well, not here in Belize; I only have a beach cruiser here as my Bike Friday would only be good on about one road here on the island. But in the US, that's my bike.

I have read your posts and you are an inspiration when it comes to Bike Fridays and riding in general.

    Why thank you!

Looking forward to putting mine back together soon as we're going to be traveling in the US and doing a little cycling in the next couple of weeks. I am going to stick to flatter areas as I haven't ridden hills in over a year, and it's going to be very strange to be back on a road bike with gears after riding only a single-speed beach cruiser for year. I am quite sure I'll try to stop by reversing my foot direction too (used to coaster brakes now), and I hope that doesn't cause me to plow into anything.
