Yep I will be there. Ive signed up for the hundred but would be happy just doing the 60 as training towards LRRH (thanks Jo for the info regarding route and this being possible).
Im still trying to talk my husband into riding with me as my mum will be here from Aust and can look after the kids for us.
Anyway I will be there and look forward to seeing you all.![]()

Hi, all. I'm new here. I just did the Cinderella last week. I see that several of you gals participated as well. Wow! What an experience!
Anyway, I have a question about the Bike Around the Buttes. I saw it mentioned in this thread that there is a 60 mile option. I only saw a 40 and 100 mile option. I signed up for the 100 mile. This would be my first century. But, 60 miles sounds a lot better for so early in the season, although I did complete the Cinderella (in less than stellar conditions) in pretty good shape. Has anyone here done the 100 mile? Is it hard? And is there actually an unadvertised 60 mile route?
Thanks!
Is approx 300 ft of total climbing in 100 miles flat and easy enough for you? The Cinderella has 1,700 ft.
Ms Jobob sent me the map which shows a figure-8 course. One loop is only 60 miles. I believe TrekHawk is doing it and I'm going to suggest it to Marty also (who also completed the Cinderella and is training for the LRRH).
PM me your email and I'll send you Jobob's map.

I was just looking at the route map. If you only want a metric, I'd be more inclined to ride Loop 1 out and back from the first rest stop (20 miles) and then ride Loop 2 (40 miles). Loop 2 goes around the Buttes and is much more scenic.

Hey SadieKate could you send me a copy of the map for this ride. Please pretty please.Originally Posted by SadieKate

I like that postive mental attitude!
Do I have your email address? Can't remember. Can you PM it?

Thanks for all the info. Definitely sounds like an easy century. I'm just a bit concerned about the Chico Wildflower the following weekend. (Actually, I'm doing the "MildFlower".) I want to have something left for that!
The BOB is definitely easier than the Mildflower, unless you get winds.![]()
