Tell me about your cream tyres/tires please!

Fingers crossed, I'll be bringing this mixte home in the next week or two. She has cream tyres, we have rain forecast for at least the next week and it's a puddly ride home from the bike shop. Clearly the tyres are not going to stay immaculate, and in a way I don't want them to as this bike willl be a long-term errand bike, but it would be nice to be able to clean them up sometimes. How do you clean your cream tyres, please?

Heh, I've never had cream/white/whitewall tires, but my royal blue tires clean up beautifully with a soft brush and Simple Green (or whatever soap you use on the rest of your bike). On the rare occasions that I feel like it's worth it.

Actually, they're rarely so bright as when I'm riding in the rain. The combination of the water and the abrasion of the road really cleans them up. It's hot dry weather that really covers them with tar.

Congrats on the new bike! Pretty.

Royal blue tyres? Excellent! Not much chance of the bike seeing any hot dry weather here for the next week or so Thanks for replying!
