Well, I bought it. It was in brand new condition and I had seen the one at Meijer, too. I felt like getting it for $50 less than Meijer and $65 less than retail was a good deal for the item. I was able to put it on my car trunk quickly and it seems stable. I have a van and am able to carry one bike in the back without removing any seats. I can fit all of our bikes in if I remove both bench seats. We'll be using this only for things like camping trips where we need all of the rear space of the van and will be taking the car, too. So far, I think it's a good rack (and I've owned several over the years) but can't yet speak to its durability. At this point, I recommend it for the price.
