Sigh. I hear you. I sold my 17 year old Gilmore this week. It's going to a bike riding home & will be a young girl's first bike. I'm sure it will do her proud. I wonder if she'll recognize me if I pass her on the street? (The bike, not the girl.)

With the purchase of the Vita and the joy of the Ruby I have come to the point where I need to retire a couple of bikes. Today I gave my FCR 1 to my son's girlfriend. She is just a tad taller than I am and it looks like a good fit. Did it on impluse but have been thinking about it for a while. I have only ridden it a couple of times this summer and after meeting the Vita no longer see a place for it in my fleet. When she test rode it all I heard where happy comments and she came back smiling...may she love it as much as I did. My Giant Cypress (long retired) is off to my sister who inherited my Raeligh Venture when I purchased the FCR 1.
