That sounds awesome! So glad you did itAnd finding that rock is just crazy, what a coincidence!
Now I feel like I need to ride more. (And I'm feeling very guilty that I set my alarm to ride to work and then wimped out when I saw that it was going to be 99 today).

Congratulations, limewave! You're awesome!
OMG! You are Limewave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had no idea it was you!!!!!!!!
After you shoved ice down your bra, I did too. We talked several times during the day. My first lap was 3:08 and you went out a little bit ahead of me on our 2nd lap.
On Lap 3, I told you you couldn't stop when I saw you sitting on the side of the trail. You said you were just resting and I was a little worried you weren't going to finish. As I was leaving the Aid Station on that last lap you came rolling in. Yey! I was so happy. You were going to make it!
Lumberjack was hard. No doubt about it. This was my 4th NUE of the year and even though it's not technical in the least, it is never ending due to the constant flats and uphills that don't offer much recovery.
Great job! Remember, it will be just as hard next year because it never gets easier, you just go faster!
We even talked at the end of the race after you crossed the finish line. I can't believe we were so close to meeting but didn't actually introduce ourselves.
Looks like you're doing BC over the 4th? I'm two hours from there. Maybe me and the bf can sneak away and ride with you guys!

lol. I wondered if 'you' were trekjeniYou were so friendly that I thought you HAD to be a TE'er but I was a little embarrassed to ask. What are the odds . . . I guess 1/45. Anywho!
I was concerned beginning that third lap too. I knew that if I took it easy I could finish but that if I pushed too hard ignoring the physical symptoms I was experiencing, that I would be putting myself in serious jeopardy of a DNF. I felt like my motto that afternoon was "weebles wobble but they don't fall down!"
This week I was laying on the beach enjoying a nice picnic with my friends and DH, having a good conversation and watching the kiddos splash around—and somehow nodding and agreeing to do LJ100 again next year AND putting in for the Leadville 100 lottery as a team! EGADS!
There is this threshold, the nearer you get to it the more you detest your mountain bike. And then you find yourself crossing over to the dark side and you can't get enough. I now live on the dark side.
