I'd like to follow your ride but the link does not work. I loved reading about a rider last year on that same ride. I really enjoyed it.

DH and I met a couple I know well from road biking at our local MTB trails. They had their 22 year old nephew with him who's new to it. You wouldn't have known that looking at him though. He did great. We did about 18 miles and had a blast. We were all pretty well matched, and it was nice for DH to have another guy to ride with. We have tentative plans to go to two other parks soon to ride. They've been to both and can show us the ropes.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

    Sounds great Indy!

My mountain bike came out of the shop today so I took it to Fort Harrison and practiced in the beginners loop there. It really is too easy for me, but a perfect place to practice skills. Tomorrow I've a long ride planned to and from my gym for a Bosu class. We will see, but I think I should be able to have some ice cream tomorrow afternoon after riding for 43 miles with an hour long hard Bosu class halfway through the ride

Will ride for Blue Bell Ice Cream

I essentially rode 48 miles (round trip) for ice cream and a sandwich. ...after not riding for two weeks. Bad idea. I went out in the afternoon (bad idea), pushed it on the way out (bad idea), and got on the bike too soon after eating (worse idea). You can see where this is going. There was no puking, but it was a pretty miserable 14 miles back to Xenia, where I refilled my water bottles, then sat on a bench, totally exhausted, and called my boyfriend to ask "Do I have to ride the ten miles back to the car?"
At least I don't leave slime trails.
