Do you know which model you tested? The one I tried was the Quattro, with SRAM Rival, but it is available with Ultegra, too.

Ahh I didn't see your thread!! I tested one of the FP Models - it was a 2011 (that's why it was on sale). Mostly for the fit and the geometry, because apparently the Pinarello sizing is totally different. I rode a 49 (easy fit) but on measuring, the TT was 53, just like my Synapse.

So are you going to get one?? I decided to go with the Paris - which fully built would be MSRP $7k, but at the frameset is just (HA "just") $3600. I am sure I can find parts for it just like I did my last one. Thinking of going SRAM - Rival or Red, can't decide.

But your job was to talk me out of it!! My Synapse seems so wimpy now

I can't talk you out of it either. I'm anxiously awaiting for October so that I can get a new mountain bike (my LBS has their sale in October). Plus, I'm already dreaming of potential, more expensive, prettier road bikes (I'm also a pink and purple type of lady). That 2012 Paris Pinarello is gorgeous!

OMG! That is a beautiful bike. I am a sucker for a white bike with teal or pink accents. Pink is my favorite color and I accessorize everything in it. I am about to get some bike glow in pink to light up my commuter bike at night! I couldn't talk you out of this beauty. SORRY!

... Pinarello Quattro ... Their easy fit sizing is kind of a joke, if you compare the charts next to each other, they fit right in with no change in proportions. Marketing?

Not marketing: The head tube is longer on the easy fit models. Compared to the closest non-easy fit sizes, the head tubes are 10 to 25 mm taller.

Comparing the bottom bracket to steerer relation: The easy fit 42.5cm is just a millimeter shorter than the regular 42cm. The EF 46 is midway between the regular 44 and 46.5. The EF 49 is also a mm shorter than the regular 50. And finally the EF 51 is 3mm longer than the regular 51.5.

Muirenn, I know exactly how you feel. The one I test rode was the Easy Fit 49 and the TT length was 53 cm. Which was perfect for me (I need a long TT for my height - 5'6"). This is the hardest part about buying the Paris frame unseen - I am going to go talk to him today (FINALLY not working... this new job is killer) and see if we get it shipped and if it's not just right, can I send it back. When you spend this much $$ it's gotta be perfect, right?

Nope! I'm not a Pina expert.

It's just that a while back I made a huge spreadsheet with (currently) 3356 road bike geometries - with up to 62 values per geometry. When possible, the spreadsheet calculates missing measurements from those that are given.

Anyway, building the spreadsheet gave me a feel for how different frame brands approach geometry. And Pinarello is in the spreadsheet...
