She is doing good. Blood work is fine but it would have been nice if she had told us about her leg! She has torn a muscle or tendon. We are keeping her quite. She is much more perky now that she feels better. We are giving a different food then the other's plus a calorie booster. She is sleeping good and not as much as she was. Poor leg. She was unstable becuase she had hurt it. We thought it was that she was weak. Go figure.

Poor kitty! Glad you figured out what was wrong, and hope she heals quickly.

Chloe sends her sympathies - she didn't enjoy going to the vet today, and it was only for her annual check-up.

It is a little hard for her she is so used to being nimble. She is the type of cat you don't hear when she jumps on something or runs down the stairs. Not like my two other house ponies. Lucky she likes to sleep. A hurt leg like that is hard to heal. And because of her age it takes even longer. We are giving her lots of love even though she acts like she hates it.

Poor kitty. I'm glad you got her in and hope she's on the mend soon. My oldest cat started limping this spring. His knee has some additional movement in it that suggests something's going on. He needs to drop a pound; that will help. He's had a few doses of an anti-inflammatory and seems to be better now. The sad truth is that he's getting old.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

We have another kitty that has a knee issue too. It comes out of joint. But that is from an injury he had when he was little. His femur was broke. Someone kicked him (before he was rescued) his knee has never been the same. He has to keep his weight down as well. He has the cutest hitch in his walk and run though. And he is very strong in the shoulder's because of it. Sometimes he can't jump all the way onto a counter and has to pull himself up. poor boy.

Brandi - so glad to hear about your kitty. I have been following the thread to make sure if you needed any advice or help I would be here for you guys. Hopefully with the calorie supplements and a little rest your baby will be on the mend in no time!
