My bike mechanic was able to take care of it. He "tsk tsk"ed me for the vice grips-- and then tried a couple different things-- one of which was bigger vice grips. Then he got out his welding torch and welded a big bolt onto the stripped bolt. Let it cool a few minutes. Took it right off. What a relief! Maidei, Crush, and I are ready for the big trip!
