L: roasted chicken breast sandwich on sprouted wheat bread, gouda, skim milk
D: roasted fennel, small sweet potato, kale, roasted chicken breast. 1 beer
S: strawberries
Each week I try to find a new veggie I've not had before and this week it was Fennel. I don't think it roasted quite long enough, but I think I will try it again. Is it worthwhile to do anything with the stems and leaves? I did keep them, if nothing else I can use them in the stock pot
Oh yes, I sliced into my palm when slicing the Fennel bulb lengthwiseThankfully my tetanus shots are up to date...there has to be a better way of slicing the bulb. I've a 38 mile ride planned tomorrow so hopefully the wound won't get in the way.
