    Cute new kitty, Lisa.

My Zoe can't knit. She'd love to be able to open food cans, however. And she's gotten really fond of watching the Idiot Box, er, the Boob Tube, er, television. Here she is, inspecting the Sporting Breeds during last night's Westminster Dog Show telecast. There was some water spaniel with a "rat tail" and she kept batting at the tail as the dog walked across the screen. Pretty funny.

Too cute, 7. One of my cats loves to watch nature programs and the like. I first noticed this years ago while I was watching the movie, Babe. He watched the whole thing. At one point, he got on top of the tv and bent his head over the screen to watch. He was transfixed last night during Westminster.

Hmm... that reminds me of a story about cats and can openers that I put up on my 'Ruby Pages' a few years ago....

One of my kitties likes to watch the sports segment on the evening news - footballs being tossed, loose soccer balls, tennis matches. At one time I had a "video catnip" tape - birds, squirrels, outdoor sounds. Cat went nuts.

Tari is really coming along as an agility dog

I was worried when she grew too tall to jump 12" - she has to jump 16", but she clears it with lots to spare, so I guess she's OK.

    Happy Birthday, Zoe and Paris!

Our new kitties are 1 year old already! It seems like only yesterday we were taking them home as 7-week old kittens.

Now, they are major lap-kitties, crying for their mom and dad and being total spoiled snuggle babies. Paris is a solid 14 pound tank, Zoe is about a pound and a half lighter.

Here they are as 2-month olds, in May, 2011, at one of their favorite spots - at DH's feet as he does the dishes at the kitchen sink. Note how little space they take up on the rug.

Here they are in January - taking up considerably MORE space on that rug! But it remains a favorite spot for them. It's where we prepare their breakfast and dinner, and where cookies (kitty treats) come from - plus, there's a heat register at the foot, so it's cozy warm.

    My, how they have grown.

I'm afraid I likely won't be buying them any toys for gifts. They are far more entertained with empty paper bags, paper towel tubes, and cardboard boxes. But we'll sing to them. They'll meowl and howl and demand extra pets ("Now, Now, Now!" says Zoe!). She is very talkative.

Tspoet, agility looks like fun. I was going to start Abby in a foundations class last week but she gets really carsick and the class is just a little bit too far away.--

Here she is graduating from Basic Obedience in December:

(The hat got to her - She threw up in the car on the way home. She hadn't done that going to or from any of the classes 'til then - )

    Smile Reese

Since I no longer have to travel once a month, I felt free to get a new dog. We adopted Reese from Great Dog Rescue of New England, who brought her up from Tennessee. She has needed some intense work on meeting other dogs, but is doing great and will be able to start group obedience classes next month. We love her to bits!

    Hellllooooooo Fosco!!

I have been going through the steps to get a dog for our household for a while. We finally got all of our ducks in a row and found our dog. I think he's perfect, but what Momma wouldn't?

He's about 22 lbs, 8 months old and nobody (including the vet) seems to have any confidence guessing what breeds are mixed in. He's definitely got a lot of terrier in him but I've been telling people he's a teacup great dane.

ETA: TSPoet, I can't wait to start agility with Fosco!!

Aw, he's a beauty! His name is Fosco? That's cute!

One of our dogs is a massive blend of breeds...we just call her 'super mutt'.

Trying to add to this thread, not sure it will work. This is my kitty Skittles. She is 11 and I rescued her at six weeks old. She's a moody calico but loves me to death and vice versa.
