I soak in water, then squeeze and rinse in running water, then soak in "napisan" for about 4 hours - a nappy sanitising solution - then pop through the washing machine as per usual and then dry outside in the wind and sunshine (or, as winter approaches here in the southern hemisphere, the sunshine "goodness" will be replaced with frost "goodness" )
