You might use one of those thin stretchy earbands. On a cooler day, try a helmet cover. Helmets generate a lot of wind noise, unfortunately.

I second that. the only thing that helps me along with the helmet!

I use a similar one with good results. You can still hear but sounds are dampened down somewhat but they do fit nicely under a helmet with no bulk.
