    My commuter is a hybrid. I would only use a road bike to commute if I had a very long commute.

    Agreed--hybrids make excellent commuters! They're less fussy than road bikes and not quite so heavy as mountain bikes.

    +1 for hybrid commuting. I like the more upright position as well, because I need to constantly watch for people trying to kill me.

    does your bike feel comfortable? do you enjoy riding it? does it get your from A to B? than its an awesome bike no matter what its make or type.
