cleaning up a donation bike

Thanks for th info. I lucked out and it cleaned up well. I lubed the chain and it is good to go. I didn't find a rear rack yet, but I will keep my eyes open.

I said it was good to go prematurely. The tire holds air. The chain and derailleur are fine, get it all back together and OH @#%*, the rim is actually bent! The spoke nipples (?) are rusty so I am not sure I can have the wheel trued and not sure if that would bring it back into round.

If you feel like it though, it shouldn't be too hard to get a used replacement wheel cheaply.

Someone donated another crapped out Huffy, so I was able to pirate parts from it for my fixer upper. Tonight I rode it around, changed all the gears and grabbed for some brake. I feel like it is finally in shape to give away!
