I don't think there's a choice but to use your core during intense rides or 40+ mile rides.
I'm talking about how in a road biking position, you're very hunched over, and gravity pulls all the 'soft tissue'right to the front of the body. After I get off the bike it all seems to stay there all bunched up for a while like I'm totally misshapen. It's pretty comical.

No worries on hydration, I don't think. With all the riding I do I drink from my water bottle all day long. I know what you mean though!
I'm just curious if this happens to anyone else... It's pretty much only noticeable to myself-- I had to point it out to my boyfriend who kind of shrugged and said he couldn't tell. So... shrug?
