Quest for the Holy Grail: best undies

So I bought these awesome little modal panties at Costco a while back and like so many things Costco they stop having it. They were Calvin Klein, they came in a 3 pack and they felt like wearing nothing and they were bikini cut. I've been scouring the internet for modal bikini panties and I have found some others CK makes but the are like tan and white, yuk. The one's I got at Costco were pretty colors too, major bummer. I've been looking at Jockey etc etc etc. Any suggestions. I hate anything microfiber but the modal is just perfect. They don't last as long but I'm willing to deal with that for the lightness of them.

As far as the CK ones go, I've gotten them pretty cheap at Dillards when they have their sale days (extra 40% off clearance every couple months) and yes, cute patterns, etc! Unfortunately, they are NOT my holy grail of underwear (just bras) but they're so cute I keep buying them and dealing with the wedgies.

I like Patagonia's Barely There bikinis. No cute colors, but that's not important to me. They are my underwear after all.

I can relate as I was just looking at undies in TJMaxx and Ross earlier today. I just want cotton most days. How hard is it to get cotton, in a nice cut, without a bunch of frilly lace added or bows or in oddball colors you can never hide save in jeans?

I usually give up and buy hanes in a three-pack. LOL.

But sometimes, you want something a little prettier. Victoria's Secret used to be good stuff - I had a bra from there for 10 years - wearing it every week - and it was still doing a good job and not overly embarrassing. My more recent purchases from there in the past four years I've either sent back, or they died within a year.

I like Le Mystere thongs (they make other styles) and the good old Hanky Panky, one size fits all thongs and hipsters. I know we've had discussions about thongs before, but you might want to check out these brands. Usually, you have to go to a lingerie store to buy them. I have found that underwear, like bike things, tend to fit better and last longer when they are professionally recommended and fit.

Grey, you and me both! I really like Soma Intimates' Signature Cotton undies. I've found them to both fit better and last longer than my Hanes. They're normally more expensive, but a good sale takes care of that.
