I cant' seem to find the right search terms to find this thread...there was a site discussed not that long ago that contributes to charity for rides and workouts that are mapped on the site. MapMyRide has really just tweaked my last nerve so I need an alternative...
What IS that website? Thanks!

I just learned about Daily Mile http://www.dailymile.com/. It doesn't contribute to charity, but it's a nice simple site to track workouts.

Join the Team Estrogen group on Plus3. The majority of my rides are "private" so they don't show up for our group, but it's nice to see how everyone else is doing!
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
I have, now I need to find another mapping site. I might rejoin mapmyride at the cheapest level, I am coming to think that there isn't a free site that provides what they do. I don't have a GPS to upload and I hate the amount of ads they have on their free version...
I don't really know too much about features vs. prices since I only use the free account on each, but have you looked at www.ridewithgps.com?

I will check it out, thanks. Most of the bronze level features are available at mapmyride for free - but I HATE the sheer number of ads - it is quite distracting to me. I am probably just overly picky...
As it turns out, I registered with this site before - just didn't remember it. Let me go browse now...
EDITED: Ooooh, I LIKE the ridewithgps site! They don't plaster their free account pages with a gazillion + 1 advertisements! I also like the features and it's mapping engine is faster than mapmyride.

A little off topic, but I downloaded Adblock - it's an extension for browsers and it's wonderful. I see no ads on websites now. Doesn't seem to affect speed. For instance, on the free version of mapmyride, when they make you wait/click through the ad, I just get a blank screen. It's wonderful. I know it's available for Safari and for Firefox.

Hey Catrin I just found Bikenav too which doesn't seem to have a bunch of ads.
