The last time I crashed I was barely moving, too. It was a gorgeous, sunny day, though, and I was coming to a stop light, turning left, watching for traffic, distracted by an oncoming pickup, and I couldn't get unclipped in time. Crunch. That was the day I decided to switch back to platform pedals.

I'm welcoming myself to this club . I have fell twice this week with my new road bike while learning to clip/unclip and trust me the thought of going back to regular pedals crossed my mind countless times. I wasn't moving for both falls.

Every time it hurts and is embarrassing. I fall all the time. Yesterday I fell on a rocky trail but I only dusted my clothes. It wasn't the case on Saturday. I was riding on flat ground without obstacles. Though, I found myself with a dull pain in the *** on the ground. I was totally surprised and when I looked at my bike, I saw a big brunch sticking out of my rear wheel and spikes. I can still feel the pain on my whole rear body. Also the muscles of my neck are always tense after every fall because they are used like a suspension to protect the body.
It's not possible to ride a bike and not fall. Even Lance says it. So, the only thing we can do is pray for less damage and insignificant traumas...or stop riding.
