Forgot to mention that once I get either of those messages, I can never log in again under that name or email acct. Nor do I hear back from anyone when I try sending a message...although granted I've been trying over the weekend and maybe they don't write back on weekends, I don't know. Ok - sorry to complain but I'm just trying to understand if there's something obvious I'm missing (like no links allowed or if you take longer than 5 minutes once you start writing, they think you're a hacker or something?). Thanks! Please let me know if you have an idea about what this is about.

I think it's no links allowed in your first posts, to keep out the most obvious spammers, but I'm not certain. I'm sure the admins will pipe up. Haven't heard of something like this before.

Welcome to TE! There is increased moderation for brand new members to prevent spammers/hacking attempts. This is a great forum so hopefully you will soon decide that it was worth your initial efforts.
The list admins will weigh in once they get a chance to see this, but you also might want to clean out your browser cache and delete your cookies. Sometimes odd things happen if the cache is too large, and also restart your browser.

It hasn't, they do moderate the initial posts to weed out spam. It will turn back up once they have a chance to look at it.
